Company History

Avalon Lighting was established in April of 1999, as a sole-proprietorship, and began its operations in the city of Roseville, California. We were the first full-service, design-oriented company to introduce this specialty trade to the Sacramento valley and foothill regions of Northern California. In 2000, Avalon Artistic Landscape Lighting incorporated through the addition of a partner & several employees, and began to expand its service roles. After five years, we underwent another change with the dissolution of our management structure. I began the down-sizing effort and took full control of daily operations, as it was necessary to re-establish my mission & beliefs. It wasn’t until April of 2009, that the corporation finally closed. I converted the business over to a sole-proprietorship and spent the next two years in a semi-active state. During this down time, I expanded my role by taking a sales position with a national lighting manufacturer–CopperMoon. This position allowed me the opportunity to build my network of professional relationships and to further advance my skills within the sales role.

In the Spring of 2011, I felt the need to re-launch Avalon Lighting Design to its full potential. To date, I am still the only outdoor lighting company within California to be listed as a Certified Outdoor Lighting Designer (COLD) and to be nationally recognize by the Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals (AOLP), as a multi award winner.

I feel very fortunate to be part of a select few, from across North America, to possess this ability. Landscape lighting is a very specialized art form–it is my desire to be considered one of the top professionals in this discipline.
